Jarrod Rogen, who is known professionally as J. Paul Rogen, made his stage debut his freshman year in high school. He starred in over seven plays before graduation. For the past six years he has worked steadily in television and film. His latest projects include spots on Six Feet Under, Malcom in the Middle, and a Disney pilot called The Chang Family Saves the World and films such as Screaming Night, I Never Got to Say Goodbye, Conflict, Final Conflict, Unintended, Even Money, and most recently Sam Hell.

Two years ago during the shooting of Conflict, which Jarrod wrote and co-produced, he had an epiphany. Instead of looking for work as an actor, why not create it? Soon after, Room Full of Strangers Productions was born. Armed with the talents of his partner and co-founder of Room Full of Strangers Catherine Erlinger, the next two projects exceeded expectations. The film Final Conflict is now shown to students at Orange Coast College as a prime example of what can be accomplished in student and independent filmmaking. Unintended, which Jarrod wrote and starred in, was submitted to the American Independent Film Expo in July 2005 and won Best Picture.

To add to Jarrod's natural talent for acting, he has also obtained a reputation as a prolific writer and has been compared to professional scriptwriters by Orange Coast College Professors. Having written his first novel when he was eighteen and several scripts since, Jarrod has immersed himself in all areas of film. With his abilities in writing, acting, producing and a hint of eagerness to direct, Jarrod shows that despite a tough industry and six years of hard work, there are no setbacks, only challenges that delay the inevitable.

Haman Movafagh

Haman Movafagh was bitten by the film bug during his junior year in high school. His talents in film then lie dormant until 2003 when he took a film class just for fun. For his class project he teamed up with actor and long time best friend Jarrod Rogen. With Haman's vision for the story, Jarrod wrote their first scrip, Conflict. The shooting of the film was completed over a long weekend. This first project proved very quickly that Haman had an eye for cinematography and a talent for storytelling. He had successfully navigated the waters of directing and exceeded expectations.

His following project Final Conflict, filmed on a relic of a 16 MM camera and shot completely silent with all sound and dialogue done in post-production, displayed even further his incredible talent for camera work and storytelling and is now used as a teaching tool at Orange Coast College by film instructors. This breakthrough production gave Haman a solid reputation at Orange Coast College as an up-and-coming and talented filmmaker with a bright future.

His latest and most challenging project, Unintended, was his most ambitious and challenging project yet. Shot over seven weeks with a budget larger then any other movie they had done, Haman's directing, cinemetography, editing and story created a movie that won Best Picture at the American Independent Film Expo and earned him the respect of yet another film professor. Now students frequently come to Haman for creative advice and technical assistance on their projects. Haman thrives on the challenges of filmmaking, and his natural talent and ability to overcome these challenges with stunning and surprising results are quickly earning him a solid career in the film industry.
